I was part of a team what worked with BMW to get GOST certification for certain parts of the car so they could be sold in Russia. To obtain CCC certification for their engines, so they could be sold in China and I was there for safety testing of body panels and seats for CE marking for Europe. But you're right, I don't know the quality of the craftsmanship.

LOL @ some inbred cajun shade tree mechanic thinking he knows what quality is. When you compare GMC to BMW, that's how I know you're full of shit.

If I were to ever buy a BMW, it would be 7 series or an M5/6.

Most people associate BMW with the 3 series, because those are what you see most often. I'm not a fan of the 3 series.

The problem is, once you get into 7 series and M series type money, there are a shit ton of other cars out there that are just as awesome.
