The fact of the matter is, stereotypical labels being attached to teams is part of the fun, and adds to the personality of the sport. Not everyone at Washington is a snooty urban social justice warrior, and not everyone at Washington State is an alcoholic farm kid, but it makes the Apple Cup banter that much more interesting.

Miami is a bad boy program. They earned that label in the 80s, and they've embraced it ever since. The fans embrace it. Celebrities embrace it. The team embraces it. In a lot of ways, the fact that one of their most famous alumni is Dwayne Johnson is fitting. Dwayne Johnson is, from all appearances, an intelligent, decent, friendly guy. The Rock is a loudmouthed, arrogant, testosterone filled jackass. That's their role, and that role gets magnified when they're on the big stage, like they are now. i don't think anybody actually believes any substantial number of people in the Miami locker room are felons. But its still fun to play along, because that's the schools perceived personality.
Exactly. You can get pissy about your labels, or you can embrace them and have fun with it. Miami is clearly doing so with the turnover chain, but canedude (likely because he's an alum) has a problem with it and feels like he needs to defend them. My question for people like him is, would you rather be relevant with that persona or perceived as nice guys at 6-6. I know what my answer would be.

So, people, who most likely didn't attend the University got into a fight...What's your point? Then again, we know where you stand. I guess that any yahoo in a Ohio State sweatshirt should be tied into the University because...Well, I don't know why. Idiots do stupid crap at games, especially after they drink. Go around the country, I'm willing to bet that there was at least one altercation at many football games.

I don't know why Hook-ems is trying to rain on the Miami parade...they've sucked since 2002...and frankly, the turnover chain is fun and lighthearted. The kids get a kick out of it, its another piece of motivation to go make a play and not get complacent. Hook-ems may very well be the most racist poster we have since Keg left. Not sure why this was made into a racial thing, just because rap culture had(s) a thing for big chains...who gives a fuck? Anyone who has a problem with it is ridiculously small in every way possible.

Not an argument. Hood chains are hood chains, regardless of how mean or racist you claim I am.

Yeah, I can honestly say out of the numerous college football games I've attended, I've never seen multiple people scrapping in the concourse while a school yard-esque crowd forms around them. Apparently, that's just an ordinary Saturday at 91% graduation rate U.

            So, so misunderstood.

Honestly, I'd be more concerned that like one Notre Dame guy beat four Miami guys.

Your own words claim you are racist, not me. I simply pointed it out.

I saw many fights at high school games. The only fight I saw at a college game was following the 2009 Bama-VT game. A VT fan slapped the hood of a Bama fan's truck. Bama fan got out and body slammed the guy in the middle of the road.

I admit I'm almost guilty of lighting up some Colorado and Missouri fans back in the day. Thankfully they were smart and backed off.

Keg you could excuse as an ignorant fucktard poisoned off of 20 different substances. Hookems has to believe to a certain extent in what he says, to the point where he tries very hard to back it up somewhat intelligently. Recall that the Nazi's were highly intelligent, with individual IQ's on average well past the 130's. They made these long, long engaging arguments in defense of National Socialism, very similar to Hookems' manifesto's. & then there is the fixation on IQ as well.

The question is, if I don't care and everyone here agrees with you, what's the purpose of the comment?

Also, let the record show that racism is far less deadly than obesity and a sedentary lifestyle.

Its clear that the thread was racially motivated. You've said stuff like this before, and you'll continue doing it because its deeply ingrained into who you are as an individual. Im sure you are the same type of person who believes races should be separate and never marry/procreate. Your thread was meant to demean Miami fans and players by labeling them thugs due to a fun incentive that their team does that their players and fans love, all because thick chains are apart of hip hop/african american culture. It was your way of trying to put them in their place and show just how superior you are because a chain makes them all thugs and criminals. You are a fool, and anytime I can make light of a fool, I do so. Enjoy!
