  • Fitness Bands

I almost want to kill myself for starting this thread, but my work is having a wellness program and giving me cash to buy one.

If you have one, what do you use, and do you like it?

Obviously I prefer Garmin since I worked there and their corporate HQ's are down the road. I'll take any input though on brand/model.

I was between the Garmin and Fitbit, and just bought the Fitbit. It monitors more than steps, it also does sleep as well as heart rate and a few other things.

I wanted one of the Garmin's that would map my bike rides, etc but I haven't had time to ride enough recently.

Yes, well in a way... I accrue points by working out, eating better, running a 5k, 10k, etc. If I hit a certain number of points I get X amount of dollars.

The fitness band is for keeping track of the workouts.

So they are paying me to wear it and to workout.

Work just did this for us with FitBits. They're giving us cash rewards based on our average steps over six-week periods. It's the cheapest FitBit, which I actually prefer, because it feels just like a wristband and not like I'm wearing two watches.
