The good thing about this show is you can always tell when someone didn’t watch past the first episode.

Develop deep relationships between them based on their unique characteristics, have them point out each other’s shortcomings but support each other anyway, put them in extreme danger and see how they react. You know, all of the stuff they actually do in Goblin Slayer if you took the time to watch the show instead of rushing to judgment based on five minutes in the first episode.

Seriously, this is like watching first 10 minutes of Batman Begins, turning it off, and concluding that the only reason anyone would like it is if they get off on children being traumatized. It’s supposed to be horrifying and inspire rage and get you to root for this violent psychopath, similar to John Wick’s dog being murdered at the beginning of that movie.

So yeah, sorry you don’t get it and all, but your opinion is based in ignorance.

Okay. So, I’m in for a penny, in for a pound. That said, a few observations.

It’s not nearly as good as the first two seasons. It feels like the writers wrote themselves into a corner. I agree with the way they’re handling PTSD, as I too know a few folks who suffer from this... it’s painful to watch. This is why I hate using the term triggered. It’s real. If you’ve seen it? You know this.

Also, this season is clearly not what most of us wanted. At least, three episodes in, it’s certainly not what I was expecting. But... I’ve said this before only to be dead wrong.

I wasn’t immediately hooked on The Expanse. And yet, had I written it off prematurely, I’d be kicking myself. Chuck? Buffy? Hated both initially.

So yeah. I’m gonna keep watching today, turn on the Browns game (Steelers fans suck), get bored, watch another episode of CK, miss an awesome play by Cleveland — a metaphor for their team on some level — watch some more and get bored some more, actually force myself to watch the Bears game, although watching Chicago play Green Bay is like watching your wife getting jail-sexed by Devo with a piece of cheese on his head.

I digress.

There's a difference between being triggered because of an actual event in your life, and being triggered because you're a fake ass emotional douchenozzle.

I watched that Monday...I also liked it, but it felt more like a hit piece on Earl than anything else. It was decent, but it was very negative.
