  • Chinese Spy Balloon

Biden wanted to shoot it down because he isn't a moron, his generals being the massive pussies they are said no because someone might get hurt by shrapnel falling from 80,000 feet above the least populated part of the U.S.

You know what else might hurt them? The giant fucking balloon carrying 2-3 busloads of "????" floating around the continental U.S. I hope this shit floats over the white house, descends, and blows up every faggot in our government.

The U.S. military on Saturday shot down a suspected Chinese spy balloon off the Carolina coast after it traversed sensitive military sites across North America. China insisted the flyover was an accident involving a civilian aircraft and threatened repercussions.

President Joe Biden issued the order but had wanted the balloon downed even earlier, on Wednesday. He was advised that the best time for the operation would be when it was over water, U.S. officials said. Military officials determined that bringing it down over land from an altitude of 60,000 feet would pose an undue risk to people on the ground.

China responded that it reserved the right to “take further actions” and criticized the U.S. for “an obvious overreaction and a serious violation of international practice.”

Okay. I’ve pretty much sat this one out. But, here’s my hot take. In all likelihood, the balloon “got away” from China. Well… balloons. Regardless, that tracks. If it were transmitting, I have a feeling we’d have known about it. So no, it wasn’t likely a direct threat. If it were, it would have been taken out no matter where it was. So? Why wait until it was over water? Simple. We wanted to see what was hiding inside. Why over the sound in North Carolina? Shallow water. I’m also guessing we took it out in a way that left must of it intact. They’re saying it’s on its way to Quantico. Fair, but it’ll end up at Langley or Fort Meade before the week is out. To be clear, they were never concerned with the debris hitting you or me. As to China’s saber rattling? What else can they do? They fucked up.

In its statement Sunday, China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that “China will resolutely uphold the relevant company’s legitimate rights and interests, and at the same time reserving the right to take further actions in response.” China’s Ministry of Defense echoed the statement later in the day, saying it “reserves the right to take necessary measures to deal with similar situations.”

I’m so over these little two bit dictators popping off at the mouth like it’s 1936 or some shit. Nobody is afraid of you China/Russia (or more accurately, Xi and Putin). Humanity has dealt with your type before and we’ll do it again if we have to.

It's hard for me to deal with the Cold War being a sham. Our leaders had no clue how incompetent Russia is/was. We can send troops to go overseas and handle other countries easily. Russia can't even handle it's vastly smaller next door neighbor without getting obliterated.

They're like children throwing a tantrum. They are so used to everyone around them telling them whatever they want to hear, it blows their minds when they can't just demand something be the case and it is.

I long for the day one or both of them is dragged into the street and decapitated by a mob. It's what they deserve.

What we know about Chinese balloon sightings during Trump presidency

                      https://thehill.com/policy/internati...mp-presidency/

President Trump on Sunday denied the claims that the balloons had entered U.S. airspace during his presidency, saying on Truth Social that “China had too much respect for ‘TRUMP’ for this to have happened.”

It’s just buffoonish and comical. Like… I honestly can’t think of anyone Dēschët knows that talks like that un-ironically. And all that, before the fact that he’s lying even gets mentioned. Apparently, one guy says they never briefed him on it because he would have started WWIII if he knew about it. Either way, it’s hilarious.

                          "too much respect"

Someone should leak it to him that Biden is getting a bigger "respect" fee than what China was paying Trump and watch as Trump loses his fucking mind.

Also, this entire balloon discourse is so fucking stupid. It was probably a weather balloon or something that they lost control of and it drifted across the US. People saying it is a spy balloon apparently are unaware that low-orbit satellites exist.

It’s like the wall. It’s an easy concept for mouth breathers to rally behind. Explaining to them that both China and the US have spy satellites that are exponentially more powerful and infinitely more capable than a balloon, is meaningless. They require simple ideas and concepts. If you make things complicated, you lose them.
