  • CNN's bias for Joe Biden

    https://pressrun.media/p/cnn-keeps-trying-to-bury-biden

Anytime someone wants to claim that CNN or the "MSM" are in the tank for Biden and the Democrats, read this piece. CNN has highlighted the negatives over and over again regarding Biden while either putting the positives on the back end or ignoring them altogether.

Why? Because CNN loves trash gossip. Same with Politico and other supposedly left-leaning news orgs. CNN's own polling shows Biden at 50% approval, but that conflicts with the narrative that they want to sell (Biden presidency in crisis, click open the link!). So instead they highlight the average (45%) and point out the bottom-end outlier (38%) but ignore their own top-end outlier of 50%.

The reporting around the BBB reconciliation bill is also atrocious. Just nonstop "$3.5T ZOMG" without really diving deep into what it covers except for their policy reporters who get buried on page 9 and never get invited to the Sunday Shows.

And don't even get me started on Afghanistan:

I pay no attention to blog reading hacks. Especially when they provide ZERO source information for claims other than their feelings.

Our media is the fucking worst. Both siding everything when one side is actively trying to tank the economy, kill citizens and blow up the planet.

Another example - Biden was asked if DoJ should prosecute people who defy Congressional subpoenas. Biden said yes. Now CNN's WH reporter is trying to create that into a story about how Biden is interfering with DoJ business, something he promised he wouldn't do.

        Give me a f'ing break.

Trump called for HIS DoJ to arrest Obama for wiretapping him illegally

            https://www.washingtonpost.com/opini...ump-favorable/

It's not just CNN. The coverage of Biden across most media has fallen BELOW Trump only to rebound to AT Trump lately. Biden got substantially worse coverage for his handling of the Afghanistan withdrawal than Trump got of his horrid bungling of COVID.

Let me say that again - Trump got better media coverage while he lied to America about COVID and hundreds of thousands died than Biden got for his withdrawal of Afghanistan in which 13 died but it was a necessary, long-overdue move that a vast majority of Americans favored.

Don't come at me with some bullshit about the MSM being biased for Democrats. It's absurd. And in response to this piece, the Playbook squad at Politico is going apeshit:

Here is Bade openly admitting that the headlines people like her helped write shaped the narrative of the November elections. Democratic infighting? There really wasn't that much infighting and they passed the BIF shortly after and are on the verge of passing BBB. They are passing massive legislation with historically slim majorities.

GTFOH with this shit. If you ignore the media bullshit, Biden's first year is shaping up to be a successful one. But all the media will talk about is gas prices (only when they go up, not when they go down), inflation (same) and whatever other gossip bullshit that sells clicks.

This follows some MSM journos (Bloomberg and WaPo, I think) following Biden to a DC restaurant for dinner and claiming that he took off his mask while inside. You know. Eating. That weird agreement we all made as a society to pretend like COVID doesn't exist while we eat. I mean, whatever. But they desperately wanted that to be a scandal despite it being the standard etiquette we all more or less agreed to a year ago.

Biden has done a shitty job. The media is just reporting on it.

                  Uh huh.

The bar was lowered to the ground under Trump. They are grading Biden on a negative curve.

It takes a really crappy President to make Trump look good.

No, it takes a massive propaganda machine to make a disastrous presidency (Trump) look good compared to a successful one (so far):

And before you come at me with some weak "but COVID" bullshit, Trump wasn't even that great of a jobs president before COVID:

                        https://www.bls.gov/opub/mlr/2018/ar...00%20in%202016.

In 2017, job growth averaged 182,000 per month, slightly lower than the average monthly gain of 195,000 in 2016.
Job growth was weaker in 2017 than in 2016. Yet all the neanderthals around here could talk about was how great the economy was under Trump and how he reversed the awful Obama years.

Depends on where you get your news.

More fuel- this is the Associated Press, where under Trump it is a "robust 200k" and under Biden it is a "sluggish 210k".

Once people understand that most major media outlets are not only NOT in the tank for Democrats but actually, far too often in the tank for Republicans, then maybe we can have an honest discussion about the role the media plays in helping elect Republicans.

Also worth noting that 210k jobs added is Biden's lowest number yet and it would be a stronger number than a majority of months from Jan 2017 thru Feb 2020 before COVID. Yet all we heard about for those 3 years was how strong the economy was under Trump and now we're only hearing about "economic uncertainty".
