Imagine having one chance at life, with a genius level IQ no less, and you spend it being a self loathing incel. Prayers sent.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go back to beating up your boyfriends.

And again, this is why both sides should try to find compromise. For you, and for people like AOC, you probably won’t like it. Regardless, I’d prefer a law that reflects the ethos of our current society should be predicated by the top of the Bell Curve and not by the bottom-left or bottom-right.

But to address your specific point: if you want to stretch it based on the text, Jews believe in a lot of stuff. Should we make it legal for them to charge gentiles interest and exclude Jews too? What about enslave people? Genocide? Come on, don’t puss out on me now, we’ve got religious freedoms to protect!
I think it’s cute that you’re trying to adopt this argument and all, and it’s not surprising because it’s been circulating on social media the past few days. The problem is, there is not and never has been unlimited religious freedom in the U.S. Muslims can’t legally mutilate their daughters genitals, people who believe in human sacrifice cant kill or eat their members, sexual abuse isn’t allowed, etc. Basically, as soon as your religious beliefs are exposed as demonstrably and blatantly harmful like infanticide, nobody gives a shit what you think.
Anything else, or are you going to fuck off back to Reddit to mine some more arguments for me to pimp slap? My shift ends in under 2 hours, so you better hurry.

"The majority of foundational Jewish texts assert that a fetus does not attain the status of personhood until birth.
Although the Hebrew Bible does not mention abortion, it does talk about miscarriage in Exodus 21:22-25. It imagines the case of men fighting, injuring a pregnant woman in the process. If she miscarries but suffers no additional injury, the penalty is a fine.
Since the death of a person would be murder or manslaughter, and carry a different penalty, most rabbinic sources deduce from these verses that a fetus has a different status.
An early, authoritative rabbinic work, the Mishnah, discusses the question of a woman in distress during labor. If her life is at risk, the fetus must be destroyed to save her. Once its head starts to emerge from the birth canal, however, it becomes a human life, or “nefesh.” At that point, according to Jewish law, one must try to save both mother and child. It prohibits setting aside one life for the sake of another.
According to a 2017 Pew survey, 83% of American Jews believe that abortion should be legal in all or most cases. All the non-Orthodox movements have statements supporting reproductive rights, and even ultra-Orthodox leaders have resisted anti-abortion measures that do not allow religious exceptions."
What happens when a pregnant Jewish women who wants an abortion sues saying the law that says life begins at conception violates her faith which says it begins once the baby takes its first breath outside the womb? You say what? Tough... were going with what I want?
That’s why we can’t treat this as a funeral but as a stroke. It’s way bigger on the inside. It’s the Re-Tardus.

I am pro-life unless the mother was raped or could die, or the parents are Republicans, Democrats, or staunch religious indoctrinators.

Again, you present a false-dichotomy, as the overwhelming majority of Americans view every abortion as a tragedy. You just haven’t figured this out, because for you, there’s no grey area thus no room for debate.
Good luck with your moral absolutism.Last edited by tOSUfanboi2; 06-27-2022, 12:32 PM.

I could keep trolling you endlessly, but I think I might’ve lost my taste for it. I’ve read so many “people” talking gleefully about murdering babies over the last few days that I can’t really find humor in it anymore. Good luck with your moral relativism.
