Governor Gregg Abbott continues to send illegal immigrants to New York, in a political stunt using actual humans as pawns. It takes a particular type of evil person to do something like this, and Abbott is more than willing to step up to the plate in order to claim this stature.
That, in and of itself, is sickening. But, not to be outdone in the evil department, Fox ran a story about it, asking their viewers if they felt it was right for New York to house them in, and I quote, “luxury hotel rooms.” This, in spite of the case that the word luxury only appears once in the title and in the description of the video portion.
After watching that, and reading the article itself, one quickly learns that all hotel rooms are “luxury hotel rooms,” while splitting the opinions into two camps.
The first camp — let’s call them liberals — say that, if the rooms are vacant, why not use them to house those that Abbott is sending to New York and who ask, “are we supposed to do nothing for them?”
The second camp — let’s call them conservatives — answer that question with a resounding yes. To them, in their minds, that is exactly what they want. They feel that, if these luxury rooms are to be had, they’re more entitled to them than illegal immigrants. To them, it’s not fair. Instead, why not house them in vacant prison cells (an argument made in the comments section.) I’m guessing they’d be okay with internment camps.
Again, I want to point out that the next (and last) time the word luxury is used, is in the comments section, where said asshole takes issue with the fact that New York is trying to treat these people like human beings, being used by an evil man in an effort to dehumanize them for purely political fodder.

BTW I've noticed that all the so-called wokism on the liberal side is basically being done by randos with twitter and facebook. None of the politicians or media are pushing any woke narrative.
For example the bruhaha over Robert Downy Jr. playing a mexican in Jamie Foxx's new movie is actually some stupid motherfucker on twitter trying to get his woke point score up. These guys are non-voting part of the young college educated people.
None of the media - MSNBC, CNN, HBO and others have come to defend this shit - None of the democratic leaders are saying anything about Downey playing a mexican.,

In Texas, where there are dozens of posters lining the walls with “In God We Trust,” justified by a law stating that if they’re donated, they have to be displayed. Apparently, the law is specific, and no other posters can be donated. Because… Texas.

An Oklahoma teacher was put on administrative leave after telling students how to access banned books through the Brooklyn Public Library. The teacher told Insider that a new Oklahoma law banning Critical Race Theory is compelling teachers to quit.
The same school district fired a teacher who shared photos of racist, homophobic graffiti with a parent in June.

Oh, and one more thing: I don't give a shit what you believe, if you think acting those beliefs out in the world is worth interfering with and potentially jeopardizing your child's education, then you have no business raising children. None of this bullshit going on in contemporary American politics (yes, I mean all of it, fight me bitch) has anything to do with what kids should learn in school. Maybe if we were kicking people's ass in math and science we could give a shit about trannies and prayer in schools, but seeing as how we're getting bodied, lets focus on that.

Considering the alternative seems to be tranny story time, that really doesn't seem that bad. Either way, political hacks should just stop fucking with kids and let people who actually have kids decide how things should be. We have a school board where I live that has meetings and handles its own business based on what its constituents expect out of the school. There's no controversy, or political rivalries, or bullshit. The closest thing there's been to a "scandal" was that one year they were 3 days late in releasing their emergency safety plan to parents because somebody fucked up. This is not because everybody agrees on everything and loves each other so much, it's because the parents in this town prioritize what's important: their children.

Second, do you believe teachers should have children?
That’s kinda my point. This shit should be handled by the school boards, not in the state legislature, for a political win.
I don’t agree with politicizing schools. I want kids to be able to learn. Lots of people seem to disagree on the basic facts of anything at all, and that’s affecting schools.

I don't think it matters. If you're a teacher and a parent and you see some kind of conflict of interest between the two, you're probably bad at both.
No, everybody agrees on 99.9% of basic facts, they're just convincing themselves otherwise because they live in a super charged media hellscape driven by advertising and exploitation. It's rough out there and extremely overstimulating, that's why I try and step away as much as I can.

A school district in Missouri announced it will reinstate spanking this school year – but with a parental caveat.
Cassville School School District superintendent Merlyn Johnson said he did not take the job a year ago with a plan to reinstate corporal punishment – a disciplinary measure the 1,900-student Barry County district abandoned in 2001.
"But it is something that has happened on my watch and I'm OK with it," Johnson said.
That's... Wow...
