      I'll give you all a pro tip.

      If you want true comparative data on tax returns... wait until the official IRS Tax statistics come out for a given year. It typically takes about 3 years for complete data on a tax year to come in and final numbers to be published, when the traditional review period expires.

      They provide a great amount of detail for how taxes for a particular tax year went. Breaks things out by income brackets, deduction classes, credits, etc. It's fairly comprehensive.

        Which is why I think that has alot to do with it. Treasury estimates SALT changes will impact 11 million taxpayers (21% of those are in California). Those taxpayers wouldn't be able to deduct $323 billion in state and local taxes. The old SALT rules, cost the Treasury dept about $100 Billion every year.
