    Another post..another "Well...you don't agree...so you're a racist"

And you are right...Democrats aren't recruiting my vote. They don't give a shit about voters like me, who are open to voting for a Democrat but aren't on board with far left policies. They think they can simply pander to the woke elements of the twitterverse and gain enough votes to win. They are wrong.

But keep at it. Keep calling me a racist all you want.

That deep down all of you Trump is a racist immoral man. You just can't overcome your hate for the Democrats to say that out loud. Which I find fascinating especially for you daCat on top of the government killed JFK who it seems you have a soft spot for.

That’s the guy who represented actual “Republican” values. When the GOP pilloried him? I knew it was time to walk.
Republicans don't stand for anything other than screw Democrats and support Trump. The US cabinet includes the VP and 15 other positions. Trump has already had 14 people resign or be dismissed in disgrace from his administration. This is a shit show and no way to run the country.

Voted for a Democrat last election cycle. He is now my Rep in the House. I'm going to continue to vote against Ted Cruz but up next is Sen. John Cornyn. I've actively trying to get people in my family or acquainted with to vote against Republicans. Because I just can't abide this shit. They need to lose everywhere for this cult of personality bullshit for this racist immoral con-man. I'll revisit this later but first they have to lose along with Trump.

Rep. Omar, Rep. Ocasio-Cortez, Rep. Tlaib, and Rep. Pressley are I think wrong about a lot of things. They have said things that are bigoted or just down right stupid. I can argue all that without resorting to the lazy xenophobic bigotry of "go back to where you came from". Trump has never told Sen. Sanders who self identifies as a Democratic Socialist "to go back to where he came from". This was a craven attempt to appeal to prejudice in order to frame the 2020 election.

"There are a lot of killers. You think our country's so innocent?" Trump replied in defense of Russian President Putin. Why didn't he have to take that shit back where he came from?

That was another such moment. McCain of 2000? Yeah. Re-branded McCain? Hard pass. You and I both know why Palin was on that ticket. McCain pissed off all the Christian Conservatives. Palin was there to assure them that the GOP was still willing to pander to them.

A lot of my friends, myself included, are basically in this same camp. The GOP, as I once knew it, is effectively dead. I also don’t buy into Trump’s narrative that the Squad is the face of the DNC. Regardless, I’m ready to flush Trump and any Republican who hitched their wagon to him.

This. Two of my three immediate family members who voted Trump won't be doing so in 2020. I realize that is only two votes but extrapolate it out. Absolutely no one that voted for Hillary is going to vote for Trump in 2020. And the list of Trump voters who are fed up with his shit grows by the day.

Sure, he may galvanize the middle/lower class white base with this shit and somehow pull out a win thanks to the bullshit electoral college but I fully expect the losing margin of popular vote to increase.

See, this is where you go too far. I don’t agree with bleed on quite a few issues but nothing he’s posted makes him seem like a rabid racist. Being slightly more willing to vote for a racist dude because you like many of his policies vs the alternative options doesn’t make someone a “rabid racist”

Trump can be a racist and he can cater to racists, which are a portion of his base, with everyone who votes for him not being racist.

Yep. With He Who Shall Not Be Named gone, there really aren’t any overtly racist posters left. Shammy would be the closest, and he’s nowhere near the level of He Who Shall Not Be Named. I don’t think iBleed is a racist. Nor DaCat.

What I see here is what I see elsewhere among my more conservative-leaning friends and family. You can tell they know what Trump did was racist. Their mental gymnastics confirm this. They don’t want to admit it. But, this is human nature. They know deep down who and what Trump is. But, like pretty much everyone who supports the guy, one trope emerges:

I don’t like him but he’s giving us _______. That’s the allure. There’s some form of quid pro quo. Whether you believe, as many do, that Trump is responsible for the economy, or the fact that he’s appointing conservative judges, many are willing to plug their noses, wear a blindfold, and insert earplugs just to get what they want.

The Far-Right is desperately trying to paint them as such. And, that emboldens the Far-Left. The antics of the Squad doesn’t sit well with most moderates. Trump is fully aware of this. I’m pretty much convinced his tweets were designed to do pretty much what they accomplished. Trump knows he’s beaten guys like Lindsay Graham and Ted Cruz into submission. Hell, most Republicans in Congress know what happens if you turn on him. Trump controls people through fear. To him, to be powerful involves being feared. He learned this lesson from daddy early on. It was later the primary motivation on his show The Apprentice. Fear of being told, “You’re fired!” That same ethos now permeates his presidency.

Here’s an article. The writer of this opinion piece is certainly no fan of Trump. The piece is biased. I’m not convinced, however, that the author is completely wrong.

What happened with PBS? I don't post much or read the forum much in the off season. Did he have a blow up and say he was leaving the board forever for the 14th time?
