  • Border Question for the Socialist Leaning Posters

I get the term Socialist at least as I learned meaning limited to say Healthcare, Education, and Labor (I have my arguments for these for a later day).

But given my premise, where do open borders fit into this? Wouldn't a pure Socialist demand such things and not anticipate future immigration?

Does the latter nor hurt the cause?

The more infused folks=less chance of a society as a whole of accepting such policies given the never ending expectation of such costs to society as a whole.

    Just curious.

I would think a Socialist would prefer the former 3 with a lockdown on newcomers so as to provide for the citizens.

Where does an influx of new entrants fit into any system other than pro business cheap labor? (aka capitalism)?

The economy isn't a zero sum game. Socialists believe in the international solidarity of workers and in the right of workers to go to where the jobs are.

Sounds like you don't like capitalism.
