The extra UI helps people absord some of the ALE that's happening. But people that were just barely above the "living wage" threshold can't absorb ALE and no one in congress seems to even be concerned about them.

I agree that it was absurdly unfair how people who still had to work make it crap wages (EMT’s/grocery store workers/shipping fulfillment centers) didn’t get the same benefits that people who lost their jobs cause of COVID got. Complete bullshit.

Seriously, if you’re living in a major metro area or God forbid in the city itself and you’re not making 6 figures or close to it, you’re just a retard. You’re literally paying more to be in the vicinity of a bunch of shit you can’t even afford to enjoy.
Tell me about it. I had a condo in North Bay Village, one of the cheaper waterfront areas in the Miami Metro, at 2k a month. Even at my salary, the hassle of living there was too much. Grocery runs taking an hour or more unless I wanted to spend a couple hundered more for the same stuff. Extra commute time because there was literally only one road off the island and it had draw bridges on either side. Just a nightmare living there. The view was incredible, about the only plus.

But yeah, I guess in your world 50+ k a year is not a living wage.
          Are you having a stroke?

I know. I have a slight addiction to gambling, and since I can't go the casino anymore, I have started speculating on collector things. I do limit my self to 2 k a month investment. So far, I've made a profit on the magic stuff or broken even. I broke even on the Commander porduct. Made enough selling product to get a full set for free. Ikoria profitted me about 300 and still got me 2 booster and to collector boxes to open. Jumpstart was where it was at though. Got 6 boxes for 85/ea and sold them all to a distributor for 180 because they couldn't meet their fulfillment numbers due to the print run being stopped.

Not huge returns on the investments, but better than I got playing table games at the casino.

You ever watch Rudy? From what he’s been saying, the prices on sealed product are through the roof right now.

Yep, that's why I'm not opening a lot of stuff. I might open 1 DM booster and a couple of the VIPs for my collection and keep the rest sealed.

Sort of. Prices are driven by a different metric, but yeah, it's still trading cards in the end.

And let the blame game begin. Trump blames Democrats for holding up progress. McConnell also blames Democrats.

Democrats passed a bill 2 months ago called the HEROES act which extended benefits. McConnell refused to consider it. Now they are blaming Democrats. I'm curious if it will work (it usually does).

Wait McConnell is against tax cuts for rich people?

They're refusing any more COVID relief for anyone unless they get a massive tax cut for rich people in blue states.

Most rich people in blue states are repubs but because their votes get drowned out - no tax cuts?

Im a rich guy - I would have voted for Trump but since there's no tax cuts for me - Fuck the republican party.

We all knew this was the next shoe to drop. It’s nauseating to watch, as 30 million people now have to choose between eviction or repossession...

I legit don't understand this. Mnuchin reiterates today that they are absolutely not going to go along with the Democrats plan for spending $1 trillion on bailing out state governments who are facing severe financial shortfalls due to COVID.

State governments employ millions of people. They provide funding for roads, schools, police, courts, jails etc. They provide their own social benefit programs as they see fit.

This is the epitome of states rights. Giving money to states so that they can use it as they see fit in their own situations. The most Republican idea imaginable. And Republicans are opposing it.

Yeah. But, only because some states are not led by Republicans.
