Birds get fried if they fly in the focus field. So DS isn't wrong but it's in the middle of the desert and you have just a few birds.

However, millions of birds die each year flying into buildings. Or getting hit by cars. Or die from pollution from the burning of fossil fuels.

I'm not sure what the per capita kill rate is per megawatt/hour, but I'd be surprised if it was higher than coal.

    Studies show the following:

Wind Farms: 0.3 fatalities per GWh
    Nuclear: 0.4 fatalities per GWh
Solar Thermal: 4.2 fatalities per GWh (just using data from Ivanpah facility)
Fossil Fuel Stations: 5.2 fatalities per GWh

Again, this all presupposes that Trump actually cares about birds. Spoiler alert: He doesn’t.

      • Trump hates wind power because of his Scottish golf course has an offshore wind farm nearby that he thinks is unsightly. That's it. That's why he wants to kill wind power in America.

Republicans elected a guy that is quite possibly the worst human being on the planet.

        • This guy really is something else. If governors trash him or really, just don’t lavish him with praise, he’s instructing Pence not to contact them.

Wasn’t he impeached for attempting a quid pro quo? Is there no part of him that says, “You know, Donald... maybe this is just wrong!”

I’m guessing no. He wants to be on the debate stage, telling us how all the governors told him what a great job he did.

The sad thing is, he’s STILL going to say this. Things like facts don’t bother Trump in any way. Why start now?

I am the biggest proponent of nuclear energy on this board so why are you mentioning fossil fuels. That wasn't what my posts were about.

So what's your solution to disposing spent nuclear fuel? Load them up on rockets and shoot them into outer space? Dig a mine shaft into the earth's mantel and drop them in there? Drop them into lava lakes?

                        • The words uranium, radiation, nuclear are all political poison. Figure a way around that and we're off to the races.

No you coronavirus-is-a-hoax retard, nuclear radiation is real. Ask people in Chernobyl

Yes, it is. Just like you are a living example of retardation being real.

By using breeder technology. The technology that was first used in nuclear energy. We went away from it because it's waste was highly enriched uranium for making bombs. Oh, and it was cheaper to build other reactors. EBR 2 proved that you could build a reactor that was IMPOSSIBLE to melt down, and now you have an improvement on the breeder reactors called PRISM.
