  • Tesla set to become the richest companies in the world

Tesla reaches a market value of $650 billion, more valuable than all but four US companies today - Apple (AAPL), Microsoft (MSFT), Amazon (AMZN) and Google parent Alphabet (GOOG).

Funny that the richest companies either lie in California or Washington - the bluest of blue states in the US.

Funny that you hate Apple. Funny that your superstar AOC ran Amazon out of town. Funny that you want to take half these peoples money and yet are here bragging about their success.

To borrow an adage from a popular old time movie byline, you speak with forked tongue.

Amazon has signed a lease for a new 335,000-square-foot office in New York City, the company told Business Insider on Friday, confirming an earlier report in the Wall Street Journal. Scheduled to open in 2021, the new office will be located in the Hudson Yards area and will employ over 1,500 people, the company said.

Is Hudson Yards in her district?

Not that it matters. After the redistricting being done in NYC, AOC won't have a job anyway.

“Amazon told the WSJ on Friday that is is not receiving any tax breaks or financial inducements for the new office project.

Shortly after the announcement on Friday, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, one of the most vocal critics of Amazon's HQ2 plans in New York, tweeted in support of Amazon's decision to move to New York for not taking any financial benefits.”

It’s almost like AOC helped her city here. Damn socialists and their speaking out against corporate socialism.

LOL. Her district is in NYC. There are many districts in NYC because there are 10+ million people there. I would bet a lot of those staffers for the new Amazon office will reside in her district. And even if they didn't, the increase in employment (however minimal compared to the whole city) would have a positive impact felt around the whole area, including her district.

If a Rep for KY's 1st district helped bring in an auto factory that ended up being built in the 2nd district (not looking at a map, but assuming they border) then that is still a win for the state and would likely help their district.

Kind of ironic. A socialist speaking out against socialism and getting attacked by conservatives for her efforts.

Flip flopping to save her career. Who knows, maybe it will help.

Amazon changed their stance, AOC did not. They got new jobs without giving handouts. AOC clearly won that one. If you cannot see that I cannot help you.

Tell that to the Democrats. They're trying to get rid of her. If you can't see that, I can't help you.

I can read well enough to see you are an antagonistic asshole to anyone who disagrees with your one sided ideological position on everything.

What does that have to do with Amazon and what you responded to?
