    1) what a dumb cunt

    2) why is the senate gym open?
    1) His dad was saying this all was a hoax.

    2) It wasn't open technically but they didn't turn the keypad entry off so he was able to get in using his code.

Its a question of mitigating pain. We are trying to flatten the curve so hospitals are not overwhelmed and so less people die. But this causes the service industry and some others to be very hard hit because they are not essential. So are a few hundred or thousand people more worth opening up the shutdown so more businesses can operate?

The problem is we need some certainty but we have none. The Trump Admin was slow to embrace that this virus was real. Some states and local governments were slow to embrace the virus was real. Some people are still not treating it likes it real or just a virus that kills old people. If we had been quicker with the testing that would help us have a handle on it and be able to isolate the virus but we took forever on that. Trump doesn't want to use the defense authorization act because people are in his ear that all the socialists will nationalize industry afterwards etc.

We have no unified strategy and no common cause. Republicans tried to pass a bill where the Treasury Sec has all the discretion in the corporate money including the ability to wave stock buy-back provision. The Dems are trying to pass one that includes language about federal elections, environmental, and diversity studies etc. If they would all just pass a clean relief bill with some simulations on the money given out to corporations and businesses while giving people who are out of work money that would be helpful and provide more certainty.

It comes down to when testing and tracking people how have come in contact with people. That’s how Asia was able to mitigate the damage. Until that happens our only weapon against it seems to be isolation as much as possible. Why don’t we have them? Well, it was just a liberal hoax concocted by the lame stream media.

How did this “save business” shit become such a thing? Business is fucked right now minus grocery store hoarding.

Business is fucked if everyone gets sick, and can’t go to work.

          • Trump declared victory today and the virus isn't even near it's peak, LOL.

Meanwhile, he had some Navy guy up there, who was at least 8 feet away from everyone else, who were huddled close together.

I've tried not to watch most of these, but what I've caught has been absolutely painful outside of Fauci(who is probably banned).

            • Just watched an exchange between Joe Manchin and Mitch McConnell that took place earlier, and I’m once again very proud that I voted for that man. He handled himself well and stuck to the core issues at play here.

              • Washington curve I think is the first state starting to flatten a bit. We've been getting roughly 120 cases a day for the last week or so now in King County and about 250 in the state per day, with heavily increased testing.

Increasing by additives and not multiplicatives is a good start. Helps to have UW virology in our backyard.

He pretty much sums it up perfectly. Trump/Mitch care about the economy(specifically their donors) more than our health. In doing so, they're going to hurt our economy longer term.

I’ve always been a fan of Manchin. I won’t sit here and say I approve of every single vote he’s cast, but I do think he comes from the right place most of the time and represents our people well.

Actually DPA isn't the right way to handle any perceived shortages in Ventilators - Car companies can make tanks and planes there just isn't any overlapping skills for them to make ventilators

I also think the whole situation is overhyped and overblown - Fauci and AOC want to build 1M ventilators and the peak of the Corona Virus has only claimed 500 people in the US.

Just think about it - more people were shot in the las Vegas shooting than the corona virus has claimed and we're ready to shut down the country but there's nothing we can do about guns?
