It's 7.7% of known infections right now.

Im all about tough love - the sooner we gain herd immunity the better for us - trying to flatten the curve and stretch the time so that we can save old people puts everybody else at risk because this shits gonna mutate. the vaccine is a year away and who knows if its going to be effective against the mutated strain or COVID-20?

In the old days we used to have "measles and chicken-pox parties" - its an english tradition - when one kid got the pox or the measles - their mom would make a big announcement at school so that all the kids who hadn;t had it could come over for drinks and cucumber sandwiches.

Talking about the US, not the rest of the world.

Emphasis on KNOWN. There are tons of people out there that think they may have the flu, that will recover, that may have Covid-19. I'm one of them, I had the flu a couple of weeks back, I'm fine now, but odds are I'm never going to get tested. Who knows what I had, I just stayed home for 4 days, and took it easy. I've been really cautious in regards to being out and about. There are tons of people like me, that may have been exposed, that had extremely mild symptoms and are moving past it. We aren't high risk, so people are lining up to test us.

What companies have left China for the USA because of the tariffs? They are still dumb because they haven't worked. I can agree with the goal and think he's doing it the wrong way.

Went home updated my resume and started applying immediately. Went after the one I wanted. Was suppose to start the 16th pushed the start date to the 30th because of the virus. Then they called yesterday asking if I was comfortable coming in and getting a laptop.

His delivery sucked, and he was cut off at the knees. But that's not what I was getting at. Balanced trade looks very important right now, with or without Trump..

Sure. It's estimated that something like 1 person is completely asymptomatic for every 2.3 showing any symptoms. The total mortality rate of all infections is expected to be somewhere between 2-3%. But to say that it will be 2-3% of KNOWN infections is to ignore readily available evidence. Right now, we're looking at 7.7% based on heavily infected areas.

You'll have to break capitalism for that to happen. Too many people enjoy paying too little for common consumer goods.

You “could” have a trade deficit, and just tax a higher % of the benefit to corporations and pass it along to citizens as a dividend or something like that but that would be socialism and we don’t like socialism here.

Probably would be a net benefit to more people and companies that forcing “even” trade.

I do love me some conservative capitalists ranting on about regulations to force the private market to adjust their practices.

                            That's quite a stretch.
