Dude no, read the news. Test kits aren’t widely available in the U.S. and many other countries right now. It’s not lack of use, it’s lack of supply.
The public has known about Coronavirus since early January, which means Trump should have known about it last year. If he had the opportunity to preemptively order test kits just in case and didn't, then that's on him.

It’s been an issue for a lot of places, not just the U.S.

They ARE widely available in other countries where there is a competent executive. That's the issue. Korea's government set up drive through places where you could pick up kits. Scandinavia is testing like crazy. Singapore and even freaking "3rd world" Thailand have shut down the virus from the start and have plenty of testing kits.

Here, we're relying on Bill and Melinda Gates and UW to come up with all the kits. The federal government has literally done fucking nothing and I think it's in part intentional.

These places seem to have it figured out:

          Korea: https://www.cbsnews.com/news/coronav...test-covid-19/

          Singapore: https://www.scmp.com/week-asia/healt...ast-track-swab

          • They’re also much smaller countries in closer proximity to the place where the virus started. They probably loaded up before we even knew what the fuck was going on.

Dude, you don’t know what you’re talking about. Trump can’t just get on the fucking phone, call up Corona Test Kit Corp and say “I’ll take your entire stock!” It’s a fucking pandemic, and shortages are part of that, including shortages in test kits when every country on earth is trying to get their hands on them.

Imagine having a president that listens to scientists and tells them in advance that a disease is coming.

You know why UW has a test that can test 4,000 people a day and Trump has jack shit? Because UW started working on it in December while Trump was tweeting about Hunter Biden and playing golf.

He could have developed one in December when the CDC recommended it, instead of taking all their funding for the border wall in Mexico. Then we would be producing our own and could even sell them to other countries. Good thing we have someone with a history in business as President that could see that sort of opportunity.

Even if he didn't, he's the president of the most powerful nation on the planet.

He doesn't want testing because he doesn't want high #'s of infected because he thinks it will panic the economy.

And this doesn't at least concern you a bit? That Thailand has more forward-thinking and competent leadership than the United States?

Imagine being such a brainlet that you think the president is intentionally causing a panic that’s tanking the economy in a fucking election year.

                      Neck yourself, retard.

Not really, because news out of China is extremely unreliable. It makes a lot of sense that countries closer to the source would have better/more accurate information, because they can rely on word of mouth rather than tightly controlled info from the Chinese government.

                        • I'm sure many of you know about this now, but Vietnam is literally combating this virus by going viral.

He's not intentionally causing a panic. He's unintentionally causing one. He gambled that the Coronavirus wouldn't be as bad as people thought and he could get away with sweeping it under the rug. Well, now he's out here with nothing but his dick in his hands and you're trying to say it isn't his fault.

That’s what Grant is saying, though. He’s saying Trump is withholding test kits even though doing so absolutely makes things worse on every level.

And it’s not Trump’s fault. I know your worldview requires that everything bad that happens is the fault of -insert Republican(s)-, but there’s zero chance this virus was going to be contained. Way too much international and domestic travel to keep this from going global.

                              • One of Georgia’s largest school district had an employee test positive and the whole thing is closing.
