        • Through 4 nights, 12 4* and above matches.

There have been 10 total 4 star and above matches all year for the WWE main roster.

          • Through 8 nights, we have 22 matches rated 4 stars and above...including two 5 star matches and one 5.75 star match. NJPW continues to prove it is the best in ring product in the world.

              • Bold Prediction:

                Not Safe For Work!
The G1 Final is going to be Ibushi vs. Moxley with Ibushi winning. Although I could see Okada vs. Moxley with Okada winning, but losing to Ibushi to prevent him from having a clean sheet in the block. If that happens, Okada challenges Ibushi for WK14.

                • G1 count is now at 41 matches at 4 stars or higher...including 6 matches at 5 stars or higher. Another incredible tournament with just a couple days left.

Ibushi vs. Okada will decide A Block
Naito, Moxley, White, Goto and Yano (jesus...) all have a shot at winning B Block. I think it will be White or Naito.

                  • This is the third year in a row I believe we can all say "BEST G1 EVER" because this year is byfar better than last year. Takagi-Naito and Takagi-Ishii have been my two favorites, with SANADA-Okada third. Yes, I have Okada-Ospreay in my Top 5.

                    • White vs. Ibushi is our G1 Final...which is really smart booking by Gedo. I was almost sure this was Ibushi's year, but White being his opponent has me questioning who will win. White-Okada has been long term booking all year long, so I could see them going with White. If Im betting, I still take Kota, but really good booking by Gedo.

Also, Shingo-Goto blew away everything on Takeover. I expect 5 stars or close to it.

                      • After a garbage ass Summerslam, NJPW proved yet again that it is the best wrestling in the entire world and there isn't a group remotely close to them (including AEW). The KENTA-Shibata angle was insane...then Jay White and Ibushi tore the fucking house down. Kota finally breaks through. What a tournament!

                        • It was announced last night that Royal Quest will be available on FITE TV on PPV on Saturday, August 31st. Not sure what the turnaround will be on being made available on New Japan World but Southern Showdown was the same and was available on demand 72 hours after it ended. I won't be watching UK TakeOver, Royal Quest, or ALL OUT live. I plan on watching ALL OUT and UK TakeOver the next day, and then Royal Quest that following Wednesday.

So the end of the tournament, the G1 had:

49 total matches that rated 4 stars or higher.
8 total matches that rated 5 stars or higher
7 matches that were only 1/4th off of being rated 5 stars

It is statistically the best rated tournament in history, and yet again proof that NJPW is at the top of in ring wrestling by a large margin. You should go out of your way to see most of these matches. Awesome story telling, great booking, amazing in ring work. Kota finally breaks through.

                            • WK14 Spoiler mentions...

                              Not Safe For Work!
The current working plan is to have on the 1/4 show, both the IWGP and IC titles defended, with the winners meeting on the 1/5 show to unify the titles. This could be where Ibushi gets his moment to shine on January 4th, only to drop the title the next day to Naito.

Not a spoiler but Liger's last match will be on the 1/5 show.
