Sellers ( Gyle ) and Chiles are actually in my Top 3 QBs in this class along with Dante Moore, who there was a massive bidding war over. I'm personally not as high on Arch, Malachi or Nico as the recruiting services are.

QB LaNorris Sellers (SC) South Carolina
QB Aidan Chiles (CA) Oregon State
QB Sam Leavitt (OR) Michigan State

      RB Roderick Robinson (CA) Georgia
      RB Dante Dowdell (MS) Oregon
      RB Jamal Roberts (MO) Missouri
      RB Tybo Rogers (CA) Washington
      RB Dijon Stanley (CA) Utah
RB Kyson Brown (TX) Arizona State
      RB Deago Benson (TX) Vanderbilt

      LB Jordan Bass (VA) Pittsburgh
      LB Whit Weeks (GA) LSU
You don't think Nico is going to put up outlandish numbers with Heupel?

Sellers was apparently the star of our Spring Game tonight, which doesn't really mean anything but hoo boy the folks are excited for the kid.

Honestly he's one of my favorite QB prospects I've ever scouted. He was injured his JR year and then took a huge jump in development during his SR year, which is why he was a 3-star and a program like South Carolina could be late and still luck into him - so many major programs shut down their QB recruiting before the summer. Anyways I am a big fan of that kid.

I should clarify that I like Nico's potential quite a bit more than Arch or Malachi - those two I'm quite a bit lower than consensus on. I just have very specific thresholds for high school QBs that I like to see them hit as a senior - 10+ YPA, 60%+ completion, multiple playoff wins if not a state title. If you're not hitting at least one or two of them my research and modeling says the bust rate skyrockets. Nico didn't hit any of them and Warren doesn't exactly play the highest level competition down here.

That said he's relatively new to football and having seen Nico in person it's very easy to fall in love with his physical skills. I just think he's a little raw right now and not the highest probablity guy in terms of panning out. No issue at all with him being a 5-star but I think Top 5 overall status is leaning a bit much into projection. Heupel's system being so QB friendly in terms of production shouldn't really factor into it although he definitely picked a great spot for his development and I am rooting for him.

Yeah, he was putting up insane numbers to start the season, but once they blew out South Pointe in mid-September it was like, whoa, wait a minute, this kid is for real. I was worried about Syracuse sneaking off with him, but fortunately we didn't let him get away.

                Sounds very Justin Herbert like.

Cool. Thanks for the info. Showed a few things in the spring game. Great arm and athleticism. Good to sit a year behind Milton and hopefully see what he's got in 24.

Raiola to Georgia, if I were his dad and uncle at Nebraska I'd disown him.

Think he's overrated as a prospect. Maxed out physically a while ago and has cement feet.

I see a lot of tOSU fans being frustrated that the #1 WR is still taking visits even after committing here. Look folks, committing doesn't mean shit anymore. Even signing a LOI only means that kid has to stay 1 single year. Tampering is just going to happen, you have to get over it. This is the new CFB World.

Agreed. The portal has significantly lessened the importance of HS recruiting, outside of the handful of guys you can identity early on as very likely to stay at your school no matter what (i.e. legacies, linemen in general, QBs who can play early)

I think Pate was saying that even in the portal era, 85%+ of kids that commit are still actually staying committed. It's just that a lot of the top guys switch and you have the high profile stories like Peyton Bowen.

Of course, that doesn't include the portal after like 6 months. That said, with the new JT Daniels rule, the portal should reach its peak pretty soon.

Jawja class is truly impressive. Ohio State just got another 4 star kid over the Rats and Quacklings. It is crazy that Bama isn't in the Top 10 right now, but if you look at the composite rankings it defines why theres only 2 power conferences.

B1G has 3 in the Top 5, SEC has 2 (grows to 4 if you go Top 10) with the ACC having 2 in the Top 10 currently.

You are starting to see a clear division of Universities that have their NIL shit set up well, and those who still haven't figured it out.
