I mean, there's a reason why we haven't had a 1st time champion in almost 30 years.... because major CFB only has about a two or three dozen programs who are legitimately trying to win it. The rest are simply leeching off the big boys for a TV check.

But people are pretending like they are the avatar of the "charming little guy" and that's just fucking dumb. This isn't exactly Cincinatti we're talking about. I wouldn’t call them a charming little guy myself. I remember what they used to be and I’ve watched their climb over the years. I just respect the way they did it and I wouldn’t be bothered at all if they won a title. I think it would be awesome for college football and proof that, to at least some extent, you can build a program from the ground up and reach the pinnacle.

This part I agree with. TCU spent over a decade working to get to this point. They did it the right way. They didn't talk shit, they joined a major conference, and worked within. That should be rewarded to an extent.
