Easy thing to do would be to ditch the charters. If NASCAR really wants more manufacturers and teams, that's the way to do it.

BUT...they dug their own grave because those charters are insanely expensive and the teams couldn't be out that money.

NASCAR may have finally found the car with the right price tag for affordability, but priced themselves out of new teams/manu's because of the charter.

If Sunday is any indication of Thursday night, then once you lose a car length in the draft you are toast (if you ever played NASCAR 09, you know). In some senses, these cars can get a good side slingshot by themselves BUT, single-file drafting in both races (The top nine in Duel 1, the Fords in Duel 2) just ABSOLUTELY pulled away from the field. BIFF ended up a lap down due to a penalty on pit road, but during that second race he ran mostly with the second pack. The second pack just got SOL because of their pit strategy but wasn't far off from the Fords, which somehow shuffled Harvick out. The 22, 17, and 34 (in no order) were really the Top 3 for all of the second duel. Harvick was up there but yea, shuffled.
