I hope they land Dabo. Imagine the gut punch that would be for Clemons fans.

So they listed everyone wants to come to LSU outside of Saban, Smart and Day. Got it.

If the current BOS has its way, I suspect it will be Tucker.

I think Woodward wants either Franklin or Kiffin.

Freeze has to be at the top of the list. Not a chance Meyer coaches at LSU.

Ed Orgeron officially out after this season

Here is the LSU Coach hotboard:

The Hot Board: LSU Coaching Search

After taking time to ponder his next move, LSU athletics director Scott Woodward pulled the plug on Ed Orgeron as head coach at LSU, sources tell the Geaux247 staff

Orgeron is set to coach the final five games of the season after reaching an agreement on his buyout, per multiple reports.

Now, Woodward and his search committee will move deeper into the coaching search.

Who will Woodward turn to as LSU's 33rd head coach in the football program's history?

Sources tell Geaux247 head coaching experience on the collegiate level is a big priority for recruiting purposes. Do not expect LSU to wait around for the NFL coaching carousel to start because Woodward knows how critical it is to have someone in place for the Early Signing Period in recruiting that kicks off on December 18 and runs through December 20.

Outside of Nick Saban and Dabo Swinney, do not be surprised to hear Woodward has kicked the tires on anyone who fits his criteria. He knows how big of a hire this is, and we've already seen with some of his past hires at LSU and other stops, money will not be a deterrent.

Geaux247 will cover every angle of this search, as well as the hunt for the new headman’s assistants to round out his staff.

For now, here is a look at some coaches who have sparked some early interest for various reasons, with detailed information on their salaries, buyouts, history, and what makes them intriguing.
