  • Harbaugh takes a big pay cut to stay at Michigan

Safe to say they’ve surrendered and accepted their station in life?

He should have to return some of his pay for lowering the valuation of the program.

He probably put out feelers for nfl jobs and when scoffed had to crawl back and take this deal.

When the rest of the TV nation realizes that Michigan is the exact same as Tennessee and Nebraska, then all of this will make sense.

I still can't figure out why ESPN, Fox Sports, and everyone else still thinks Michigan SHOULD be good. That they SHOULD be #2 in the B1G. What is that based on?

It's a program that hasn't been a threat to win a national title outside of 1 season since they got a 1/2 title back in 1997. The landscape of the game has changed, and Michigan (like Nebraska/Tennessee) didn't make the cut. 3 teams that were relevant 20 years ago, but now need to focus on being 8 or 9 win teams. Michigan's only hope of getting over the hump is OSU getting some kind of probation. They should be thankful that they only play in a 1 good team league.

This isn’t true anymore about the big ten. One great team maybe, but there’s a lot of solid programs now, which is a big part of Michigan’s problem.

I think their biggest problem is a complete lack of in-state talent and their rival who owns them having a stranglehold on the nearest hot bed.
