I didn't see an email from the Fantasy Baseball Commissioner with their thoughts on the the Coronavirus.

I sent out a detailed speech, but the Astros stole it.

              • I spent a lot longer on pitching this year because the past few years my pitching drafts have been pretty shit outside of Flaherty last year. Looked through some of Eno Saris' data for it.

I might do some re-ranking depending on when the season starts. Guys coming off TJ or who had injuries in spring(Paxton) will have more time to come back now.

If I get bored(likely) will post some sleepers later.

                Pitchers:
                1. DeGrom
                2. Cole
                3. Buehler (not sure if he gets the innings)
                4. Verlander
                5. Scherzer (worried about injury here)
                6. Flaherty
                7. Straus (worried about injury here)
                8. Severino (assuming he can heal in time now)
                9. Bieber
                10. Castillo
                11. Clevinger
                12. Snell
                13. Corbin
                14. Sale (No freaking clue)
                15. Paddack
                16. Morton
                17. Giolito
                18. Syndergaard
                19. Glasnow
                20. Kershaw
                21. Good reason to stop here.

                • One guy I don't get the hype on is Dinelson Lamet. I'm seeing him go off the board in the top 15 pitchers in some places. OK, the K's are great, but he's going to have an ERA between 4-4.5 and a WHIP that's going to probably be in the 1.3 range. He hasn't really been good in those categories at ANY step in the minors. So yeah, crazy stuff, but not seeing the overall profile on him .

I haven't seen him being a Top 15 SP anywhere, borderline Top 30 mostly. But there's a disconnect between how fantasy analysts do their rankings which are generally more geared towards NFBC and expert leagues where Lamet's strikeout volume is more important than most traditional home leagues. He's not going to have the innings or ratios to be that valuable unless he adds a third pitch.
